March 2023 Intentions & Lilies for Saint Joseph

Of Pilgrimage, Plantings, and the Patron of the Universal Church, Saint Joseph

INTENTIONS:

On March 19, 2023, the feast day of Saint Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, the intentions of thousands of supporters of America Needs Fatima were delivered to the National Shrine of Saint Joseph in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Six full-time volunteers of America Needs Fatima walked the 7 miles from the former St. Joseph Church in Green Bay to the national shrine in De Pere. It was a cold and windy day; the pilgrimage lasted nearly two hours.

Beginning this endeavor with a prayer to Saint Joseph, the men also prayed the Seven Sorrows and Joys of Saint Joseph at every mile of the pilgrimage. Finally, upon reaching the shrine with the intentions in hand, they prayed the Litany to Saint Joseph before eventually depositing the intentions in the chest reserved for that purpose.

LILIES:

In addition to this act of prayer and reparation on his feast day, a beautiful offering of pure white lilies was made to Saint Joseph in the garden dedicated to him at America Needs Fatima’s headquarters in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, Holy Saturday April 8th. The fruit of an email campaign launched by ANF, 3,123 lilies were donated by Catholics across America as a sign of their love and devotion to the Foster Father of Our Redeemer.

At a time when the crucial role of the father is at risk or even absent from the modern-day family, it is imperative to the stability of Western civilization to reinvigorate America with a healthy respect for, and appreciation of the gift of fatherhood.

Let us all turn to Saint Joseph—the one man chosen by God throughout history to care for His Beloved Son—beseeching his intercession and protection in all of our spiritual and temporal necessities.
